<geodining:details>A routine stop for team Cat'N'Geo, not just a Geocaching fuel point.
Although... I think they are used to us pulling foilage out of our clothing & hair by now.
Our particular favorites, the Queso dip mixed in with the pico de gallo (after draining!)
along with the always bottomless Nacho Chip Baskets.
Any one who dines with me on a regular basis knows I drink Iced Tea like it was part of my
Oxygen requirement.
Plus this is a mexican Resturaunt.
My glass has never gone dry here in two years.
I have no higher honor to give.

Mixed alcohol beverages, imported & domestic beers (draft & bottle), sodas, &
Iced tea go with a wonderful range of Mexican taste tempters with the spice
range fully adjustable from Cafeteria pap, to Cheyrnoble Freak Out.

Great service, great food, great mexican tunes, all in all a great place to
go for any reason.
survives by all the guests who just keep coming back and bringing friends.

<geodining:details>Lake City is the first GXing mecca as you enter the state of Florida from
Georgia on I-75. After a long weekend of GeoCaching and GeoEventing (3! in three days!!!),
we wanted to eat something right before we got on I-75 for the long drive home.
Knowing we could go to the local Taco franchise at home, we decided to try this
Mexican place... GREAT decision! Not only was the food excellent, the prices reasonable,
and the table service accomodating, the fact that is was an All You Can Eat buffet made it just want the
Dr. Mom ordered! We liked it SOoo much, we asked the manager for
permission to place a micro in the tree outside to lure more soon-to-be-satisfied GXers.
Too bad we couldn't get it approved because it was too close to another GX...
If you like good Mexican food, yes, the kind where most of the other diners are speaking
Spanish, you'll love this place! Have a blessed day. Happy caching ~~

NY, Finnegan's has become a favorite for our apr鳠caching pleasure
in the Hudson Highlands area. The food is great, reasonably priced,
large portions, and the wings are wonderful. Real Buffalo style wings.
They are a sports bar, but very nice and clean, and the decor lends
itself to a nice Irish Sports Pub, with televisions all around the room,
set on varying channels, playing whatever games or races might be on.
Tables, booths, and a bar. The web page link provided is to an article
about the pub in the Poughkeepsie Journal with more information.

office and I usually have lunch there once a week. The Short Stop is a
seasonal restaurant that is basically open April to end of October.

The price range I selected includes an ice cream treat.

Also very close to two caches that are quick finds (Batter Up!GCJDDH and
Soccermom`s Secret GCH3VX)with Sharon Woods is just down the street.

Enjoy this dieing gem.

</geodining:details>

Petersburg...Skyway Jack's. It's no longer located by the namesake Skyway Bridge
(and Jack has passed on), but the homey spot he created remains as popular as ever.
Jack never thought small, as his pancakes prove. For something different, order them
with a side of smoked mackerel or get the breakfast pie. A cozy, inexpensive
St. Pete institution. Pigs abound!

Lots of regulars = lots of GeoMuggles, though. The Blues Cafe does Dine In, Take Out, and Delivery.

<geodining:details>
The best burgers in Central Illinois!

A wide spot in the road in the SW corner of Clark County,
Moonshine is the in spot for the elite to meet. You'll need a compass,
plat map and a little luck to find it, but she's worth the trip....and
it's a heck of a lot cheaper than going to St Barth's for a cheeseburger in paradise.

Roy Lee and Helen Tuttle bought the old-time (circa 1912) country
store in 1982 and promptly made it the best eating house in town - heck,
it's the only building in town, unless you count the outhouse - and you had
better count it.. Aside from cold cut deli-style sandwiches, drinks and snacks,
Moonshine is the home of the world-famous Moonburger. You can get a double
beef cheese Moonburger, you can get a bacon Moonburger, shoot, you can get a
Moonburger just about any old way y'all want it.

This restaurant was established in 1957 and has been honored by "Cincinnati
Magazine" for the BEST rootbeer and #12 on the list of "BEST 100 PLACES TO GO IN CINTI".
Menu includes the typical hamburger, cheeseburger, hot dogs, coney dogs, etc...
The speciality of the house is "THE TIMMY DOG" if you dare to eat this monster
footlong hotdog. The homemade rootbeer is the best and you can even take home a gallon.
The price selected will get you a killer rootbeer float.

<geodining:details> When Vincent Chianese opened his pizza place half a century
ago, he had three items on his menu. Small, Medium and Large pizzas.
The menu has expanded slightly since my parents went there for pizza
when they were dating in high school but the atmosphere is still something of a dive.
But the three generations of people who have been going there aren't there for the
atmosphere. It's the pizza. The small is the size of a large you might get elsewhere.
Crust is thick, topings are generous. Put your thumb and forefinger together to
get an idea of the size of the chunks of sausage you'll get. The cheese cooks up
with a pond of grease on the surface. Oh yeah! This is what it's all about!
Vincent's has won numerous awards over the year as the best Pizza in the city.
Some rate it the best in the world and will call to have pizzas shipped to them
on the other side of the country.

<geodining:details>The Whistle Stop Caf? was built in 1927 by Mr. Edward L. Williams Sr.
He and his wife Lillian ran a general merchandise store in the building for some 45
years. The store closed for good in 1972. However, in addition to a general store,
the building has also been home to a real estate office, timber consulting firm,
as well as an antique shop before being used in the filming of the 1991 movie Fried Green Tomatoes.

After the movie, Robert Williams, inheritor of the building, decided to open the
Original Whistle Stop Caf?. In 2002, the caf? was purchased by Mrs. Elizabeth Bryant
and continues to serve the best fried green tomatoes around.

of people is the way to go. You get some of everything. The pulled pork is fantastic.
You can also get food to go there. The bar is sort of a local hangout, drinking man's bar.
The dress is casual, perfect for apres cache.

<geodining:details>The City Cafe is in the downtown Northport National Historic District.
Not only is it my favorite all time diner, but it`s also the place to
ingest Southern food in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. The place serves breakfast
(opens very early) and lunch. At lunch, you can expect on waiting for seats with
hoards of Bama students and just about everybody else. The restaurant features an old
counter and three rooms of booths. It serves classic Southern meat and vegetables.
The menu varies by day but I like the Country Fried Steak or the Fried Chicken Breast.
For vegetables, I like the field peas with snaps, mac and cheese (a vegetable in Alabama),
fried okra & string beans. On thursdays I go for the outstanding fried green tomatoes--amazing!
All items are laced with fat back and at each table sits a bottle of Alabama Sunshine hot sauce.
I partially converted my Iowa wife to Southern food by taking her here. In this the land of sweet
tea, they bring you your own individual pitcher along with cornbread or rolls. The super-nice waitresses
(no men have I seen serving) call you honey, sweetie, and sugar. Two people will easily escape with
happily filled with saturated fats for under ten bucks. Closed on weekends.

that go through the area all intersect. It is a popular stop for motorcyclists,
bicyclists, travelers, and hikers. The food is excellent - hamburgers, sandwiches,
soups, cakes, pies, etc.

There is indoor and outdoor seating and the place is cozy.
The service can be less than optimal when the place is busy, but the food is good
enough to make up for that. My personal favorite was the Hawaiian Hamburger and the apple pie.
You`ll likely be passing Alice`s on your caching trip through the area anyway, but for kickers,
there is also a cache (GCG4Z5) right out front!

Owners Richard and Letty Lee are the head cook and head waitress, respectively, and they've been serving up great Chinese food in Brookings for decades. The fare is standard Americanized Chinese, in large portions and at good prices. Some American standards like hamburgers and milkshakes are also available. Wonderful egg rolls. The Dragon Gate Lounge is accessible from the back of the restaurant or from outside at the rear. Say hello to Letty; you'll know her by her laugh!</geodining:details>

<geodining:description>El Tango Taqueria is a Latin American and Mexican Grill serving fresh, hearty, exotic foods in a charming setting.</geodining:description>
<geodining:details>El Tango Taqueria uses fresh fruits and vegetables and an exotic and interesting mix of spices to create some truly memorable meals. An Example? How about the Yucatan Cochinita Pibil. It's a dish made with Mayan barbecued pork and pineapples served over tortillas, rice, beans & their delicious salsa salad and smothered in Poblano sauce. If you stop in you have to try the chips and salsa. It comes with three different kinds of salsa including cinammon salsa and a warm pineapple salsa. You can get out the door for less than $10 per person, but I reccomend going with one of their more expensive specialties, an appetizer, a drink (likehomemade vanilla lime/lemonade) and a dessert (like chipotle pumkin pie). The full experience will cost you between $20 and $30 per person. They even serve a breakfast burrito so you can stop by in the morning. El Tango does not serve any alcohol, but they do have a BYOB policy so you can bring your own or walk to the Dairy Mart at the corner where they have some beer and wine you can take with you. Definitely worth a try.</geodining:details>

<geodining:details>This is the absolute best Mexican restaurant in Baton Rouge.
I usually get the bean soup if I'm eating lunch. If I come for dinner I get the chili Relleno the best in town. The margaritas are the best the only use premium tequila (every tequila in house is 100% blue agavee)and they are huge. On Friday night they have live music. For desert I recommend the Flan or Apple Chimichanga. There Flan is smothered in a honey sauce instead of the usual vanilla

<geodining:description>An English style pub with many fresh, English beers and ales and other imports on tap and delicious sandwiches, burgers, wings and salads. The menu is different from the standard fare you find in most pubs.</geodining:description>
<geodining:details>The Man of Kent Tavern is about a close as you will get to a genuine English pub outside of England. The selection of beers is varied and many choices are rare in the US. The owner/bartender, John (an acutal Man of Kent) is as friendly and gregarious as they come.

The Man of Kent's menu is, in a word, different. The food is delicious. Most of the of grilled sandwiches ($5-$8)are based around tomato & cheddar on an outstanding locally baked bread. House roasted turkey, roast beef and chicken as well as mushrooms, peppers and carmelized onions are some of the sandwich fillings used. A crock of spicy Colman's mustard is found on each table. The Man of Kent also offers excellent salads, outstanding chicken wings and the traditional Ploughman's Lunch (a chunk of cheddar, bread, butter, pickle and pickled onions).

Open afternoons and evenings except for Tuesdays & Wednesdays, serving food til 9 pm. Closed annually during April.</geodining:details>

Bikers, boaters, and bobos rub beer bellies under the thatched roofs of Tiki’s upper- and lower-story bars on the Riviera Beach marina, shaking booty to live music on sunny Sunday afternoons. Baskets of peel ’n’ eat shrimp, hot blue crab dip, and Bahamian conch salad go down awfully easy to the sounds of Caribbean rock and whatever game is being broadcast over the bar. Tiki’s crunchy grouper sandwich will keep reeling you back, along with crisp shoestring fries, oyster poboys, burgers, conch fritters, plenty of beer, and inexpensive mixed drinks. Claim your stool at this casual waterfront hangout early on weekends.

<geodining:description>A down home feel with some gooood food.</geodining:description>
<geodining:details>Ma & Pa's of Abingdon is located at 823 West Main St in Abingdon, VA. The family has owned restaurants in the coalfield area of Southwestern VA for many years. Ma & Pa's is their expansion into the Tri-Cities. They offer Drive thru / lobby pick up, in house dining, catering and even delivery to a select area.

Their food is like food of yesteryear. When I first ate here, I tried the hamburger because I saw the cook patting out fresh hamburger meat into patties to cook and I was not disappointed. My second visit was a great foot long dawg and again I was very pleased. I must not be alone in my feelings for their delightful food since readers of the Washington County News has selected their establishment as serving the best hamburgers, best hot dog, and best bar-b-q in their circulation area.

In addition to their great entree offerings they also offer ice cream / desserts. Their ice cream is either soft serve or scooped. They offer various home made desserts and the selection of these sweet delights changes daily.

While you are guaranteed a smile from the delicious meal, geocachers can pick up a smile when they find GC10H6K which is located just outside the entrance to the restaurant.

<geodining:description>The World's Greatest Barbeque Restaurant, if you want "REAL" Kansas City barbeque, this is it. </geodining:description>
<geodining:details>Located in inner city, but don't let that keep you away. I've been eating here for 40+ years and had no problems and don't know anyone who has. The sandwiches are MASSIVE to say the least, and the fries are hand cut, not frozen and include the peel, fried in pure lard!!!I've started many a geocaching day with lunch, but it probably would be better to end the day here. Our personal favourite is the pork sandwich with fries and you'd better be hungry if you want to eat it all.
Every president since Truman has eaten here.

This BBQ legend was founded in the early 1920's, by Charlie Bryant, Arthur's older brother. When Charlie died, Arthur took over and moved the BBQ restaurant to 18th and Brooklyn, just four blocks away from Municipal stadium, the home of the Kansas City Blues, followed by the Kansas City Athletics. Municipal Stadium was also the first home of the Kansas City Chiefs. With the move near to the ball park, it became a nationally known eatery. Major league players ate there and fans would stop in before the games to eat on the premises or take out to the ball park. The fame of Arthur Bryant's grew. Then renowned author Calvin Trillin declared in Playboy magazine that "...the single best restaurant in the world is Arthur Bryant's Barbeque at 18th & Brooklyn in Kansas City."

<geodining:details>Greek Cusina is one of the best Greek restaurants that I've ever been to. It is a combination, sit-down restaurant, nightclub, and carry-out place. The atmosphere is fantastic. It sits right in the heart of downtown Portland. At night, you can sit in the dimly light interior or you can sit on the sidewalk area and do a little people watching. The food is magnificent! Everyone in Portland knows Greek Cusina from the huge purple octopus that straddles its building. The octopus may be a little corny...but you'll never forget the restaurant!

<geodining:details>The atmosphere at Crabs is great, and it is reasonably priced for the most part. The seafood items can get spendy, but they're good. You can either sit inside (where there is air conditioning and a bar) or out on the deck or at picnic tables that are actually on the beach. You can play in the sand all day and then walk right up to Crabs for dinner. The dress is very casual. There is also a gift shop attached that is indoors...but the floor has sand like you're still on the beach. There is plenty of parking...unless it's the peak of the season...then spots are more scattered. </geodining:details>

The place is basicly order and go but there are a few places to sit in the back. <geodining:description>Rutt's Hut has been serving New Jersey's finest hot dogs since 1928.</geodining:description>
<geodining:details>Walking into Rutts Hutt is like walking back into time, as the decor probably hasn't changed much since like 1956.

The menu is varied with items ranging from pot roast, to roast duckling, but what most people come here for are the hot dogs. Proclaimed Jersey's "Top Dog" by the Newark Star Ledger and at the top of most hot dog aficionado's list, Rutts Hut's dogs are deep fried and served with an outstanding relish (even if you don't like relish, you must try it) and some excellent mustard.

Most customers order a "ripper", which is a dog fried until the skin pops open. A "weller" is a hot dog well done and a "creamator" is one that spent a little too much time in the fryer (for my taste anyway).

Rutts Hut has a full service bar, a restaurant section and a section with counter service, where you stand up and eat at one of the counters. Though there there is no longer drive in service in the parking lot, on nice days it is a popular spot for people to polish off their dogs, while enjoying the view of the Passaic River.

Walk up to the counter and order 2 rippers, fries and a beer and you will be in hot dog heaven. Be prepared to go back for one more. Most people do. </geodining:details>

<geodining:details>While riding the whole length of the Longleaf Trace, my riding partner and I ended up in Bassfield about lunch time. I walked into the Texaco to purchase some drinks and there in front of me is a lunch counter. Hmm, looks a bit dubious. Food looks good, smells great. We decide to give it a go. We made our selections and made our way to a booth. With just one bite, I knew we had found a winner. Every bit of food was well cooked and seasoned. I had to make a pig out of myself to finish the full plate.

So, if your biking the trail or just happen to find yourself near, do drop in and enjoy some fine southern home style vittles.</geodining:details>

<geodining:details>
If you are visiting the Cabela`s in Hamburg, PA, or
passing by on I-78, you owe yourself to stop here. I was looking for a non-chain
place to eat that would not cost us a fortune, and boy did we find it.

At
first glance, it looks a lot like a biker bar. There is a sign on the door
asking people to leave their backpacks outside on the porch and there were
several when we walked in. However, it is mostly locals and those `smart` folk
who know how to find a good deal.

Don`t let the prices fool you. Anything
you order will be HUGE. I ordered a burger and it was almost twice the diameter
of the bun. My wife ordered the Delmonico steak and had trouble finishing it. We
split a salad and a "Small" order of french fries (About the same volume as
three or more Large McFries). We each also had soft drinks. Our bill was UNDER
$25. I think we left $30 with the tip. We were both STUFFED. And the food was
really good.

Next to us, a woman ordered the $6 Cheesesteak and it was so
big she began eating the filling with a fork. They also got a plate of fries
each - Big mistake! Fairly good menu in terms of choices. They have a full bar
as well.

The coords are close, but I neglected to set a waypoint right at
the place. It is impossible to miss. Just take Rt 61 north and you will drive
right by the place on your left. Can park on the street, but I recommend parking
in the rear.

They take Mastercard and Visa.

This place is NOT on
the Garmin version 6 City Select, but if you look for "Hermy`s Tire and Cycle"
it is only a few doors off.

And yes, it was really THAT
good.

</geodining:details>
